At long last another post! The end of the school year was crazy with gymnastics, baseball etc. I have been working on my little guys room for awhile now and he loves how it turned out!
Since he is only two I could get away with decorating it how I wanted right?
I tried to use as much as I could from his room...well maybe not. Since we sold his crib and dresser we had to get new furniture. We got his full size bed and chest of drawers from a local furniture store and the quality is amazing! It took about a month for it to come in but it was well worth it. The bed we actually purchased the floor model and got a huge discount on.
He loves cars, trains, planes....the typical 2 year old boy stuff so I thought a transporation theme would be cute and get him through until he is 4 or 5 and has an opinion of his own!
A lot of the items came from Hobby Lobby! The gas pump above is a piggy bank too and he loves to steal my extra change and fill it up.
The Monaco print is also from Hobby Lobby. I didn't want to hang a heavy glass frame above his bed so I used modge podge and attached the poster to a canvas!
The navy and white rugby stripe duvet cover is from West Elm. The vintage car pillow and sheets I found at Target. They are not the softest but hoping after a few more washes that will change. He doesn't seem to mind much.
The navy and red euro sham as well as the red and white gingham pillow covers are both from Pottery Barn Kids.
I love that his bedding isn't all the same but still coordinates beautifully!
These traffic hooks, also from Pottery Barn Kids, will be perfect to hold his backpack when he goes to preschool. For now he likes to hang his pajamas on them.

His room is a weird shape and I could not get a full shot for anything! The nightstand was a Craigslist purchase and originally blue. I wanted to add more green to the room so I spray painted it. Inside the door is another wire basket of books but the little one on the shelf holds his favorite books that we read each night.
The green suitcases from Land of Nod work perfectly with their green handle and add some height to his dresser.
I reused some of the Ikea frames from his nursery to add some more vintage posters. I love vintage prints and we have several throughout the house so I was happy I had another room to add some too!
I'm please that I could keep the pretty blue paint that was in here. Along with the white it really brightens up the room since we have dark chocolate brown floor length curtains. Eventually those will come down once he is out of taking afternoon naps but they sure do block the sun for now!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the new room!
