Back to School Breakfast!

My two oldest kiddos set off for 2nd grade and kindergarten last week!  When I came across an adorable back to school breakfast a few weeks ago on Pinterest I knew that we had to have one the first day of school!

We had a simple menu of chocolate chip muffins, rainbow sprinkled milk and a summer fruit cup!

I did most of the set up the night before and about 95% of the items were stuff I had laying around the house!  I went with a red, green and black color scheme so I could use several paper medallions from last years arrival of Jack Sprinkles

One of our school supply cakes that we made was the perfect centerpiece!

Fruit cup flags found here.

I'm not sure who invented the idea of rimming a glass or jar with sprinkles but it was pure genius!  The kids (especially my 2 year old) loved it!

Muffin toppers, back to school banner and paper medallion centers from here.

Polka dot candy cups, green stripe plates, red paper straws and white ice cream bowls are from The TomKat Studio.

Here are my two cuties after their breakfast!  The cute signs are from here.

Despite the looks on their faces they were really excited about going to school!  The sun is bright here in AZ at 7:30 am!

Do you have anything fun planned to kick off going back to school?

  1. This is Melissa @ DaisyMaeBelle. That is the cutest thing ever! Wow! My kids would LOVE to wake up to something like that on the first day of school. I am going to have to get my act in gear! All of a sudden, a bowl of cereal just doesn't seem right! Nice work!

  6. Having a party at home is more economical then a banquet hall. However, not all parties make sense to have in a house. You have managed it very well and i just loved your efforts. keep updating. Looking forward for your future posts.
