15 fabulous ideas for Teacher Appreciation Week {May 7-11th}

Teacher Appreciation Week is right around the corner and I'm hoping to get a head start on some fun projects to help celebrate the special teacher's in my kids lives!

Thanks to Pinterest I've been able to collect several fun ideas and I've selected some of my favorites to share them with you!

{Fabulous Freebies}

1. Subway art is still holding it's place as a top trend and this adorable free printable comes from The Girls at Eighteen 25!  Simply print it on some cardstock or have it printed on photo paper then stick it to a clip board as shown or in a cute frame!

2.  How about a nice set of thank you cards for your favorite teacher?  My favorite go-to gal for printables, The TomKat Studio has these adorable cards as a free download on her website!  Print out a dozen or so on heavy weight cardstock and tie with a fun ribbon!

{Frame it up}

3.  Instead of "Keep Calm and Carry On," Call me Crafty came up with "Keep Calm and Teach On" and placed it in a fun frame covered in scrapbook paper.  Basic wooden frames can be found at any craft store then simply modge podge on school themed scrapbook paper and place your quote in the picture window.

4.  Amy from Positively Splendid made this adorable photo collage of her son holding a chalkboard speech bubble!  Love this idea.  Amy also features the download "Your an A+ teacher because..." on her website so half the job is done for you!

5.   Another fun frame idea is to cover a frame from the $1 section at Michael's with some craft paint and crayons!  A sweet note from your child to his/her teacher would make a nice keepsake inside of the frame and it makes a great project even preschoolers can do with little direction.

{Let it bloom}
These next two ideas are wonderful especially if you end up running short on time!

6.  Kari from U-Create made this fun bucket complete with seeds and gardening gloves!  What teacher wouldn't want to pretty flowers sitting on their desk year round?

7.  These flower picks from Skip to My Lou can be edited to include your child's name!  Just print, cut and paste or tape onto a wooden stick and you are ready to go!

{Sweet treats}

There are so many fun and yummy baking ideas out there!  I'm big on baking so we will be trying one of these ideas!

8.  Apple cake pops from Bakerella are such a big hit since being so small you don't feel as guilty for eating them! Or is that just me?!?!

9.  Cookies and Cups made these delicious looking cupcakes topped with Oreo truffles and would be great for a potluck!

10.  These "cupcake sundaes" are sure to be a hit!  Amy at Living Locurto has the adorable printables all set for you too!

{More fun ideas}

11.  These wooden spool apples are so fun and original!  I'd like to add this to my "to-do" list for the holidays for our wonderful teachers!  They would make great ornaments!

12.  Who doesn't love a latte?!?  Once again the Girls at Eighteen25 have provided us with another fabulous printable!  These would be a great gift for a teacher's aide or staff that works hard to help keep the school running!

13.  Two Busy Blondes put together layered M&M's along with fun poem!  You could easily create some personalized labels or use chalkboard labels and hand write it with a chalk pen!

Green is for the inspiration you give me each day. Blue is for your patience in showing me the way. Orange is for your warmth and caring style. Yellow is for the way you always make me smile. Red is for my life that you have touched this year. You place knowledge in my hands, that melt into my heart and live forever! You're a "Magnificent" & "Marvelous" Teacher! Thank you for being my M&M!

14.  If you are looking for a gift from the whole class, this School Supplies "Cake" will surely impress your favorite teacher!  What a great way to help replenish the classrooms supply for the next school year!

.

15. Another last minute idea is fortune cookies in a fun Chinese takeout box.  The boxes are available at most craft supply stores and you can find the printable labels already made over at Eighteen25!
