12 days of Christmas Treats {Day 4}-yummy gift for teachers!

This year for my kids teachers I wanted to do something fun for them that they hopefully hadn't received before.

I came across this brilliant idea on Pinterest!  And I new that was it!

Who wouldn't love a make your own sundae kit that includes all the toppings?

I made some homemade chocolate fudge sauce using the recipe from the original post.

Easy Chocolate Sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoon of butter
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 6 oz chocolate chips
Combine cream, butter and corn syrup in a small saucepan and heat until the butter had melted and the sauce is almost boiling.
Remove from the heat and add the chocolate, stirring until melted. Cool to lukewarm and spoon into glass jars.  Cover with a tight fitting lid and store in the fridge.
To use, remove from the fridge and let it sit out at room temperature for 1 hour prior to serving, or heat for 15 seconds in the microwave.

I am happy to report it was delish!

We also included some cute Snowman Soup treat bags.  If you haven't come across these yet on Kori's blog they are the cutest!

All packaged up!
